3 Important Things to Consider in Building a New Home
I want to talk about the process of building your own home and also share with you the benefits of either buying or building a new home. There are three very important things to keep in mind:
Select the community or neighborhood and identify the land that you need. Choose the area in the community that you feel will be the best for your family. You’ll also need to figure out how much space you’ll need around the house.
Identify the approximate square footage and design of the house that you're looking to build. This is key in the sense that you have so many different choices especially out here in silicon valley where people build houses in the range of 2,000 square feet all the way up to 15,000 square feet. This could also be determined by your budget.
Keep in mind how much time and effort it will take to build your new home. You have to keep in mind there's a process for designing and constructing a home. This entire process can take about two years from start to finish.
